چکیده
We present an approach to the detection of anatomical landmarks in CT data sets. Our first application is detection of vertebrae and landmarks on vertebrae in 2D slices. The core technique is a feature driven matching of a graph created from one or more vertebrae with unseen data. This is based on an approach that has been successfully applied to face recognition in the past. Keywords— Anatomical Landmark Detection, Bunch Graph Matching, Wavelet Features, Object Recognition.

Robot-amplified manual exploration improves load identification.
We tested how manual exploration with anisotropic loading (Viscosity-Only (negative), Inertia-Only, or Combined-Load) influenced skill transfer to the isolated inertial load. Intact subjects (N=39) performed manual exploration with an anisotropic load before evaluation with prescribed circular movements. Combined-Load resulted in lower error (6.89±3.25%) compared to Inertia-Only (8.40±4.32%) an...
متن کاملA Study Ex Vivo of the Effect of Epicardial Fat on the HeartLander Robotic Crawler.
A tethered epicardial crawling robot known as HeartLander has been developed for minimally-invasive surgery on the beating heart. The crawler has been tested in vivo many times in a porcine model, a model which provides generally authentic conditions in many ways; however, the pigs tested generally have little epicardial fat, whereas the epicardial fat in human patients will be considerable. As...

متن کاملWalking Paper Robot Instructions
This paper presents an alternative approach for controlling the walking and balancing of a bipedal robot. The proposed method uses a neuronal. Challenge level: Create silly walk robot that uses linkages program your vehicle to 'read' colored tape road instructions( youtu.be/4M9gJQGYsTI ) NxT/EV3 Player Piano: Use the color or light sensor to 'read' a roll of paper. Build a robot from paper piec...
